1. 精密塑性成形课题组(Research Group of Plastic Forming )
The Research Group of Precision Plastic Forming mainly consists of Prof. Dr. Zhao Zhen, assoc. Prof. Dr. Zhuang Xincun, Mr. Xiang hua and assoc. Prof. Dr. Hu Chengliang and about 20 postgraduates. The group has carried out a large number of researches and development work in the fields of, theory and technology of precision plastic forming, intelligent design technology and its applications in mould and plastic forming, fine-blanking process and optimization of tool design, as well as the modeling and evolution of ductile damage.
In recent years, the group has undertaken various state and provincial level scientific research projects, such as National Science & Technology Major Project, National Natural Science Foundation of China and Research Fund for the Doctoral Program of Higher Education, as well as a lot of international and domestic industrial projects cooperated with FEINTOOL, Sunway, PPF and BRIMET etc, focusing on the precision plastic forming technologies.
2. 复合材料成型技术课题组(The Advanced Composite Forming Laboratory)
At the Advanced Composite Forming Laboratory we advance the state of the art of numerical tools and models for the simulation of the mechanical response of a wide range of materials with application to mechanical, material and biomedical engineering. Current theoretical and computational emphases in research are on composite forming, sheet metal forming, constitutive laws for fiber reinforced composites, spine biomechanics, modeling of biomaterials, mechanics of package materials. Experimental studies are complimented with a range of multi-scale computational activities involving finite element method. Our group has active interaction with researchers nationally and internationally in academia, industry, and clinical practice.
