Zhuang Xincun
ZHUAN Xincun, Ph.D. and professor, chose to serve as a teacher in his mother university after obtaining the bachelor's degree and the doctoral degree in Shanghai Jiao Tong University from 1998 to 2008. Now he is Deputy Dean of Institute of Forming Technology and Equipment, School of Materials Science and Engineering, SJTU. In 2012, Professor Zhuang was engaged in postdoctoral research at the Institute of Forming Technology and Lightweight Construction (IUL) of the University of Dortmund, Germany.
His academic services include: Advisory Board member of International Cold Forging Group (ICFG) (2016.09-), Member of National Technical Committee 33 on Die and Mould of Standardization Administration of China, Member of Youth Working Committee of Plastic Engineering Branch of China Mechanical Engineering Society, Member of Precision Forming Engineering Professional Committee of China Ordnance Society, Deputy President of Shanghai Association of Die & Mould.
The research fields of Prof. Zhuang mainly include process design and optimization of fine blanking and plate forging, as well as damage modelling and prediction in metal forming process. He has received the funding from National Natural Science Foundation of China, National Key R & D Program and National Defense Basic Scientific Research Project, and participated in many projects sponsored by National Natural Science Foundation of China and National Science and Technology Major Projects. Professor Zhuang has published more than 50 academic papers including more than 30 articles indexed by SCI / EI, worked as the main translator of the books “Cold Forming and Fine blanking”, "Materials Selection in Mechanical Design" as well as “Making it – Manufacturing Techniques for Product Design”, authorized 15 national invention patents and participated in the establishment & revision of 13 national / industry standards. He has also won the “Lixin Tang Excellent Scholar Award” (2019), 7th "Koguan Top Ten Teachers" nomination award (2017), the title of "Excellent Class Teacher" of SJTU (2017), and "SMC Excellent Young Faculty Award", etc.
