Zhao Zhen

Professor ZHAO Zhen, who is also a Ph.D. and a doctoral supervisor, is currently Director of National Engineering Research Center of Die & Mold CAD (2015.03-). He used to be Deputy Secretary of the Party Branch of Department of Plastic Forming Engineering of Shanghai Jiao Tong University  (preside the work) (2006.07-2008.10), Secretary of the Party Branch of Department of Plastic Forming Engineering of Shanghai Jiao Tong University (2008.10-2011.04), Deputy Director of the Party Branch of Department of Plastic Forming Engineering of Shanghai Jiao Tong University (part-time) (2007.06-2011.04), Deputy Dean of the School of Materials Science and Engineering and Executive Deputy Dean of the Institute of Plastic Forming Technology and Equipment Research (Leading roles of divisions or equivalents) (2011.04-2014.05), Director of the Experimental Management Center of the School of Materials (part-time position) (2011.06-2014.05), Deputy Director of the Human Resources Department (temporary position) (2012.11- 2014.05), Deputy Director of Human Resources Department (Leading roles of divisions or equivalents) (2014.05-2015.10), Director of Asset Management and Laboratory Department (2015.10-2017.05), and Party Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Mathematical Sciences (2017.05-).Professor Zhao is also the winner of the New Century Excellent Talent Support Program of the Ministry of Education, and a Member of Shanghai Shuguang program. His main academic part-time titles include: Member and Executive Director of International Cold Forging Group (ICFG) (2009.09-2016.09), Vice President of China Die & Mold Industry Association, Deputy President of National Forging Standardization Technical Committee, Deputy Director of National Die Standardization Technical Committee President, Executive Director of Plastic Engineering Branch of China Mechanical Engineering Society, Deputy Director of Precision Forging Academic Committee, Director of China Forging Association, Vice Director of Fine blanking Technology Committee of China Forging Association, and a Member of Editorial board of “Journal of Plastic Engineering”, “Forging Technology”, and “Mould Industry”, "Manufacturing Review" and other journals. 

Professor Zhao graduated from the Department of Materials Engineering of Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 1994, majoring in forging technology and equipment, gained a master's degree in Metal Plastic Processing in 1999 and a doctoral degree in Material Processing Engineering in 2002 from the Department of Plastics Engineering of Shanghai Jiao Tong University. His main research directions are precision plastic forming theory and technology, intelligent design technology and application in plastic forming and mold. He has presided over or participated in a number of scientific research projects such as National Science and Technology Major Project, National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Doctoral Fund, Shanghai Science and Technology Research Projects, National Defense Basic Scientific Research Projects, and International Scientific and Technological Cooperation projects. Additionally, he has published more than 80 papers, edited / translated 4 books, and formulated more than 10 national standards and mechanical industry standards. Professor Zhao has won Shanghai Yucai Award, Shanghai Jiao Tong University Outstanding Teacher Award, Shanghai Jiao Tong University Outstanding Communist Party Member, Shanghai Jiao Tong University Outstanding Party Worker, Shanghai Jiao Tong University "Sanyuren" Advanced Individuals and other honorary titles, and won four provincial and ministerial level Scientific and Technological Progress Awards.
